Club Med Tremblant Is Now Real

Construction has started on Club Med's second Canadian mountain resort, a ski-in, ski-out all-inclusive at Tremblant opening December 2028. Lift passes and lessons are in the price.

The shovels are in the ground. Club Med held the official groundbreaking for Club Med Tremblant on 7 October 2026, confirming a December 2028 opening for its second mountain resort in Canada.

For advisors, this moves Tremblant from an announcement to a dated product. Ski families and multi-generational groups who like an all-inclusive model now have a Canadian option, close to Montréal, with lift tickets and lessons folded into the price, roughly two winters from now.

What is being built

According to Club Med, the resort sits on Tremblant’s Versant Soleil, at the foot of the slopes, with ski-in, ski-out access, close to the pedestrian village. The company says the all-inclusive package will cover:

  • Skiing and snowboarding: lift tickets and lessons included, with a ski school partnership formalized with Station Mont-Tremblant in November 2025, according to Club Med’s December 2025 announcement.
  • Families: Kids Clubs for ages 4 months to 17 years, plus sports academies.
  • Dining: a menu partly inspired by Quebec flavours and ingredients.
  • Four seasons: hiking, water sports, wellness and a spa in the warmer months.
  • Exclusive Collection: a premium space with upgraded amenities, priority access, private areas and mountain views.

Club Med has not published a room count or the project cost. The project is backed by Comète SCPI, a French real estate fund managed by Alderan, with Club Med as the resort’s operator.

Why Tremblant, and why now

Club Med points to its first Quebec mountain resort as the demand case: Club Med Québec Charlevoix, open since 2021, has welcomed more than 170,000 guests. The company is targeting 100 resorts worldwide by 2035, with North America a priority region.

The mountain is investing too. Station Mont-Tremblant says its $42.5 million Timber Summit project will add 62 acres of skiable terrain, eight trails and a high-speed quad chairlift from winter 2027–28, a season before Club Med opens. Patrice Malo, the resort’s president and COO, said the two projects together will strengthen Tremblant’s appeal.

Carolyne Doyon, president and CEO of Club Med North America and the Caribbean, said the project will create approximately 300 direct jobs and hundreds more across the region. Club Med is targeting LEED Gold for construction and Green Globe certification for operations, with more than 61% of the site kept as green space.

For advisors

  • Pitch: families with young children who want one price for lifts, lessons, meals and childcare; past Charlevoix guests looking for a second Quebec option.
  • Upsell: the Exclusive Collection space for clients who would otherwise book a luxury ski-in hotel.
  • When: opening is December 2028; watch for a booking launch and early-booking offers well ahead of that winter.
  • Watch: room count, pricing and whether Club Med confirms the opening date as construction progresses.
