Art Basel Qatar Returns to Doha in January
The second Art Basel Qatar runs 28 to 30 January 2027 with 82 galleries and 80 solo shows across M7 and the Doha Design District. Dates, tickets and what to know.
Art Basel Qatar returns to Doha for its second edition from 28 to 30 January 2027, and tickets are now on sale. The fair is built around 80 solo presentations from 82 galleries in 37 countries and territories, at two sites: M7 in Msheireb Downtown and the Doha Design District.
What’s on
Iraqi curator Wassan Al-Khudhairi is artistic director, working with Vincenzo de Bellis, Art Basel’s chief artistic officer. The 2027 theme is between / بين, about dialogue across cultures, places and generations.
Artists from the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia make up about half the lineup, Art Basel says, from the Sudanese modernist Ibrahim El-Salahi to Shahzia Sikander and Monira Al Qadiri. Regional galleries include The Third Line (Dubai), Athr (Jeddah), Saleh Barakat Gallery (Beirut) and Chemould Prescott Road (Mumbai). More than 30 galleries are new to the fair, alongside returning names: Acquavella Galleries with Andy Warhol, Lisson Gallery with Anish Kapoor, and Maurizio Cattelan at Gagosian. There’s also an expanded program of Special Projects.
