Disney Believe Picks Fort Lauderdale
Disney's fourth Wish-class ship, home to the first Encanto stage musical, sails from Port Everglades from 18 December 2027. Bookings open 19 October.
The next new Disney ship will be a short-cruise product out of South Florida, and that shapes how advisors should sell it. Disney Cruise Line says the Disney Believe will sail four- and five-night itineraries to the Bahamas and the Caribbean from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, with sailings from 18 December 2027. General bookings open on 19 October 2026.
The ship
The Believe is the fourth Wish-class ship, after the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny. Disney says its fleet will reach 13 ships in late 2030.
The headline additions, according to Disney:
- Disney Encanto: described as the world’s first stage adaptation of the film, exclusive to this ship. Tangled: The Musical moves over from the Disney Magic.
- Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast: a new entertainment-dining venue. The 1923 and Worlds of Marvel restaurants return, and Pluto’s Pita Platters is exclusive to the Believe.
- Grand Hall: themed on Moana, with a statue of Moana, Pua and Heihei and a chandelier hiding the heart of Te Fiti.
- Gazelle: a Zootopia-themed hub with family activities by day and adults-only entertainment at night. Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde get their first Disney Cruise Line family show.
- Adult spaces: Palo Steakhouse, Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement, The Rose, the Sea Notes piano lounge and the adults-only Quiet Cove pool.
- Staterooms: Disney says most have a split bath and most have an ocean view, 70% have a verandah, and more than 450 have connecting doors. The two-storey Believe Tower Suite, in the forward funnel, is nearly 2,000 sq ft and sleeps eight.
For advisors
- Diary 19 October. General bookings open that day, per Disney Cruise Line.
- Pre-qualify clients now. Confirm Castaway Club tier and sailing history so repeat Disney families can use their early booking window, and have deposits ready for the first sailings and holiday dates.
- Sell the short format. Four and five nights from Fort Lauderdale suits first-time cruisers, multigenerational groups and add-on stays at Walt Disney World or in Miami.
- Lead suites early. The Tower Suite and Concierge-level staterooms are the scarce inventory on any new Disney ship.
- Watch for: final pricing above inside staterooms and the maiden-voyage booking terms, which Disney sets separately from the rest of the season.
