Montréal’s Old Port This Fall

New spa treatments at Bota Bota, two VR shows into January, a Monday bungee rate and a new artisan market fill the Old Port's autumn calendar.

The Old Port of Montréal, which says it draws more than six million visitors a year along 2.5 km of the St. Lawrence, has published its fall program. The calendar runs into January. Most of it is aimed at families, but there is plenty for adults travelling without children too.

With children

Quests to Go. New and free this year, Ma belle-mère est une sorcière is a one-hour outdoor app adventure for kids aged 7 and up. It runs to 1 November.

Fall Fair. Rides and midway games, Wednesday to Sunday until 18 October. Entry is free; pay per ride or buy a wristband.

Halloween. SOS Halloween runs at SOS Labyrinthe from 3 October, with 15% off for visitors in costume from 10 October. On 31 October the Grande Roue de Montréal hands out treats from 4 to 7 p.m., holds a kids’ costume contest at 5 p.m. and puts on a light show from 7 p.m.

For adults

Bota Bota. The floating spa, in a former ferry moored at the port, has added a Canopée facial, which it says uses adaptogenic mushrooms, and a Badstu sauna ritual. Its restaurant, La Traversée, has an autumn menu. Sound bath meditation with singing bowls runs on the third Wednesday of each month, which falls on 21 October and 18 November. The spa’s website gives 6 to 9 p.m.

Virtual reality. From 8 October 2026 to 17 January 2027, Infinity Experiences runs two VR shows: Napoleon, The Immersive Saga, and a Smithsonian space experience. The release calls the second one Smithsonian: Mysteries of the Universe, but Tourisme Montréal lists it as Smithsonian Starstruck, so check the title when you book. Tourisme Montréal says the Napoleon show runs nearly 30 minutes and the Smithsonian show more than 40 minutes, for ages 10 and up.

Montréal Bungee. Jumps cost $149 plus taxes on Mondays. A standard jump is $179 on the operator’s price list.

MTL Zipline. The zipline over the port also has fall deals alongside the bungee rate.

Artisan market. This year Signé Local is running a new market at the Jacques-Cartier Pavilion on the weekends of 27–29 November and 4–6 December. Signé Local lists hours of 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday, noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday, with 40 stalls each weekend.

Takeaway: For a weekday autumn stay, book Bota Bota for a third Wednesday, add a VR show, and save the bungee jump for a Monday. For holiday shopping, plan a weekend around the market dates. Families visiting before 1 November get a free quest and, on 31 October, Halloween at the Grande Roue. The market also gives December city-break clients a reason to stay a night longer.
