MSC World Atlantic Floats
MSC's fourth World Class ship is in the water at Saint-Nazaire and on sale now, with alternating 7- and 14-night Caribbean sailings from Port Canaveral from November 2027.
Advisors can now sell MSC Cruises‘ next U.S. flagship from Port Canaveral with a firm hull behind it. MSC World Atlantic touched water for the first time last week at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, the company announced on 30 September. It is the fourth LNG-powered ship in MSC’s World Class series and will sail alternating seven- and 14-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries from Port Canaveral, near Orlando, from November 2027. Itineraries are open for booking.
What happened
A float out is the point where a ship moves from its construction dock into the water. The hull is complete, and outfitting begins. MSC says World Atlantic will stay at Chantiers de l’Atlantique while work continues on interiors, public spaces and final technical systems. Delivery is scheduled for 2027, ahead of the inaugural Caribbean season in November.
According to MSC, the ship will be the 25th in its fleet. The line’s itineraries include calls at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, its private island in the Bahamas.
What the class tells you
World Atlantic is the fourth hull in a class that is already sailing, so advisors can sell from known product. MSC World Europa was delivered in October 2022 and MSC World America in March 2025. MSC World Asia is due in December 2026, and four more ships are planned for 2029–2031.

MSC World America, the closest sister and the one already homeported in Florida (Miami), gives the best guide to scale. Cruise Hive lists it at 216,638 gross tons and 333.3 metres long, with 22 decks, 2,614 staterooms in 19 categories (including 152 MSC Yacht Club suites) and a maximum of 6,764 guests. The World Class entry on Wikipedia lists World Atlantic’s planned tonnage at about 215,700. These are big-ship numbers, and the pitch is not intimacy.

MSC’s World Atlantic page lists seven: Family Aventura, the Aqua Deck, the World Promenade, the World Galleria, The Terraces, the adults-only Zen Area and the keycard-access MSC Yacht Club. MSC also lists the Cliffhanger swing, which it says reaches 160 feet over the ocean, a ropes course, an aquapark, the Doremiland kids’ club for ages 0 to 17, and more than 20 dining venues. MSC describes the design as a blend of “signature European style with American comfort.”
Why it matters for the trade
The Florida World Class line-up grows. With World America already in Miami, World Atlantic gives MSC a second ship of the same design in Florida, this time out of Port Canaveral. For Canadian clients, that is a familiar Orlando air gateway and an easy pairing with a theme-park stay before or after the cruise.
The 14-night option is the interesting part. Most big-ship Caribbean product is sold in seven-night blocks. Alternating seven- and 14-night sailings let advisors sell longer winter escapes to snowbird and retiree clients, or combine Eastern and Western loops, without changing ships.
The Yacht Club is the luxury hook. MSC lists Yacht Club suites from 15 to 104 square metres, with access restricted by keycard. For a multigenerational group, the model is grandparents in the Yacht Club and families in balconies near Family Aventura. Virtuoso‘s 2027 Luxe Report, released the same week, ranks multigenerational travel as the No. 1 trend.
For advisors
- Hold inaugural-season space now for families and groups targeting the 2027–28 winter and spring breaks. The first season starts in November 2027.
- Pitch the 14-night sailings to retirees, snowbirds and remote workers who want a winter in the sun without an extra flight.
- Sell the Yacht Club as the upgrade for luxury clients who want the family-ship energy without the crowds, and confirm its exact inclusions and private-area access when MSC publishes the World Atlantic deck plans.
- Watch the build schedule. The ship is still being fitted out. Delivery is set for 2027, so keep clients’ plans flexible until delivery is confirmed.
