The Standard, Mexico City
The Standard's first Latin American hotel brings 206 balcony rooms, a Thai rooftop restaurant and a pool facing the Monumento a la Revolución to Tabacalera.
The Standard’s first hotel in Latin America opens in the first quarter of 2027 in Colonia Tabacalera, beside the Monumento a la Revolución. It’s an 18-storey building, away from the usual Polanco and Roma–Condesa hotel districts.
The building and design
Acciona Parque Reforma is the developer. Picciotto Arquitectos designed the building and Atelier Gulla the interiors, with Verena Haller and Hyatt’s Lifestyle Group design team.
Rooms
There are 206 rooms and suites, each with a private balcony, plus 27 branded residences.
Eat, drink and the spa
- Café Standard, in a garden the hotel calls its “secret garden”
- Midnight Standard, a late-night diner
- Supatra, a Thai restaurant on the roof
There’s also a rooftop pool and bar, and a spa with hydrotherapy, saunas, pools and a fitness studio.
For advisors
This is a good fit for clients coming for galleries, nightlife and the Centro Histórico. Pair it with Park Hyatt Mexico City Polanco, also due in 2027, for a two-neighbourhood stay. World of Hyatt applies. No rates have been published.
