Six Senses Milan

Six Senses Milan is a new urban hotel at Via Brera 19, across from the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan’s arts quarter. It will be the brand’s second hotel in Italy after Six Senses Rome, which opened in 2023, and brings the brand’s wellness focus to a city better known for fashion weeks and the design fair. Six Senses, part of IHG, runs it under a management agreement with Gruppo Statuto.

The building and design

Interiors are by Tara Bernerd & Partners, who describe the hotel as an urban house-villa. Expect Arabescato marble, antique brass, handmade smoked glass, textured ceilings and mosaic borders, arranged around a hidden internal courtyard. An Earth Lab space will host workshops on local, low-impact projects.

Rooms and suites

Recent reports put the count at 69 rooms, including 16 suites; earlier materials said 68 and 15, so the final figure may still shift. Two suites have private plunge pools and one has a large terrace with a 12.5-metre pool designed for private events. Food and drink includes a seasonal specialty restaurant, a deli and two bars, one of them on the roof beside a sky pool.

The Six Senses Spa will combine high-tech and hands-on treatments with holistic practices. Facilities include a 15-metre indoor pool, two saunas, a steam room and a cold plunge, which is a lot of water for a hotel this size in central Milan.

What it means for advisors

This suits wellness-minded clients who still want to shop, eat and see art on foot. Brera is walkable to the Duomo and the fashion district, and the small room count means early booking for Fashion Week and Salone del Mobile in April. It also works as the city leg before Lake Como. Clients loyal to IHG One Rewards may be pleased to find Six Senses in the family.

Opening status

The opening has moved several times: 2025 at signing in 2024, then 2026, then late 2026. Six Senses’ own site now says 2027, and an October 2026 trade report on the brand’s 2027 openings puts it in early 2027. No exact date or booking calendar has been announced; the Six Senses site currently takes reservation enquiries only.
