Casa Duhau, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt

A 52-key vineyard hotel in Mendoza's Alto Agrelo, with views of the Cordón del Plata, a Michel Rolland-backed winery and an equestrian club.

Casa Duhau is a new-build hotel in Alto Agrelo, Mendoza, about 30 minutes from the city and 35 from El Plumerillo airport. It is set within Reserva Alto Agrelo, nearly 100 acres of vineyards and fruit trees, and will be the only Unbound Collection by Hyatt hotel in Argentina. The publicist gives late 2027.

The building and design

BMA is the architect, Estudio Martín Zanotti did the interiors and Fernando González the landscaping.

Rooms

There are 40 villas, each with views of the Cordón del Plata and the Tupungato volcano, and 12 executive suites in the main building.

Eat, drink and do

Two restaurants (one fine dining) and a wine cellar, a pool, gym and spa. On the estate are Bodega Agrelia, a boutique winery with winemakers Michel Rolland and Marcelo Pelleriti, and Casa David, an equestrian club. Activities include sunset rides, trekking and vineyard bike rides.

For advisors

Harvest (vendimia) runs from February to April, and Mendoza’s Fiesta de la Vendimia is in early March. Pair with Buenos Aires or a Chilean wine region across the Andes. World of Hyatt applies to Unbound Collection hotels.
