Barcelona’s Paradiso Becomes a Legend
Paradiso, the El Born bar behind a pastrami shop's fridge door, has won the Rémy Martin Legend of the List Award. A ready hook for Barcelona nightlife clients.
Paradiso, the Barcelona bar that hides behind the fridge door of a pastrami shop in El Born, has received the Rémy Martin Legend of the List Award at The 50 Best Bars 2026 ceremony in Milan. The award, from the list’s official cognac partner Rémy Martin, recognises bars with a lasting influence on cocktail culture. Paradiso succeeds Athens’ Baba au Rum, the 2025 winner.
Paradiso opened in 2015 and was named The World’s Best Bar in 2022. It is led by Giacomo Giannotti and his team, and runs a research space, Paradiso Lab, and an annual Sustainability Summit.
In the same ceremony, Alquímico in Cartagena, Colombia, was named The Best Bar in South America 2026, an award sponsored by Rémy Martin.
For advisors
- Barcelona clients: add Paradiso to a night in El Born, and tell clients to expect a queue. Recognition like this tends to lengthen it.
- Colombia: Alquímico gives Cartagena clients a headline cocktail stop to book around.
- Drinks-led trips: clients who travel for bars use The 50 Best lists as a planning tool; keep them on hand.
