Globus and Cosmos Tell Clients to Unpack
Globus and Cosmos have launched Unpack and Explore Tours: seven-night trips from one or two hotels, from US$2,099. A guided tour for clients who hate packing.
The biggest complaint about guided touring is the suitcase. Globus and Cosmos are answering it with Unpack and Explore Tours: trips based in one or two hotels, with day trips, included sightseeing and free time.
“Travelers are moving beyond checklist sightseeing,” said Scott Nisbet, president and CEO of the Globus family of brands, which also owns Avalon Waterways and calls itself the world’s largest tour operator.

For advisors
- Who to pitch: past tour clients who found the one-night stands tiring, and independent travellers nervous about a first guided trip.
- Easy upsell: add nights before or after in the base city; one hotel makes extensions simple.
- For Canadian clients: the Montréal and Québec winter tour is aimed at Americans; the Algarve and Split tours suit Canadians escaping shoulder season.
