Editorial Standards & Corrections
Accuracy first. Claims are checked against primary sources: official tourism and statistics offices, company statements, regulatory notices, research and on-the-record reporting. We link to those sources in the story. Figures carry their source and period. We never present illustrative or modelled numbers as reporting.
AI-assisted, human-edited. We use AI tools for research and drafting. A human editor reviews and approves every story before it is published. Some bylines are house bylines tied to desks; read more on our About page.
Press releases. We receive releases from destinations, hotels, cruise lines and their agencies. A release is a starting point, not a story: we check what it claims, attribute what we can’t verify, and add the context an advisor needs. Promotional language is not repeated as fact.
Independence. Advertisers, tourism boards and partners have no influence over coverage. We don’t accept payment for coverage and don’t publish sponsored content disguised as editorial. If we ever accept a hosted trip or a free stay, the story will say so.
Images. We use real photographs only: official press images credited as the supplier requires, or licensed photographs credited to the photographer and licence. We do not use AI-generated images.
Disclosure. Not An Atlas is published by Loveseyland Ltd. Any story that involves a Loveseyland project or client says so.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it and add a dated correction note at the bottom of the story that says what changed. Spot an error? Tell us through our contact page and put “Correction” in the subject line.
